Two of Swindon Town’s major sponsors have come out in favour of the proposed redevelopment of the County Ground.

Leading figures from MI Permit and First City Care Group have applauded plans for the creation of hospitality space and corporate boxes in the Don Rogers Stand, as well as the renovation of the main concourse.

The blueprints for the work were presented to supporters earlier this month, while several hundred fans attended public consultation meetings with chief executive Anthony Hall and architect David Anderson at the Legends Lounge last week.

Any potential project must receive consent from eligible Trust members, as per the Joint Venture agreement between supporters and the club. That vote is expected to take place in May – and leaders from Town’s primary sponsors and the STFC Business Group have now made their position known.
