Kabongo Tshimanga is expected to remain at Swindon Town for the duration of his season-long loan deal.
The striker has scored five goals in 24 appearances for Town since arriving from Peterborough United in August.
While that return is not as prolific as Swindon might have hoped, Ian Holloway is an admirer of Tshimanga's work ethic, and the Robins manager has been encouraged by his recent performances playing off Harry Smith up front.
Tshimanga is also understood to be considered a positive influence on younger players in the dressing room, and Holloway is known to favour keeping the forward through until the end of the campaign.
