Joel McGregor will not be risked in full training or friendlies for a considerable part of pre-season, as Swindon Town continue to monitor his injury rehabilitation.

McGregor was absent from the Town squad for two long spells during the second half of last season.

The right-back has been suffering from an issue related to underdevelopment of the pubic bone.

He has avoided the need for surgery, but is still building his body’s resilience and – while he has been at the County Ground and Beversbrook with the squad this week – he is being carefully managed.
