Joel McGregor says playing under Ian Holloway at Swindon Town next season would be “the best thing” for his career.
McGregor is currently considering an improved contract at the County Ground. The offer on the table would extend the full-back’s stay in SN1 for a further season, as well as elevating him onto better wages.
As a first-year professional, the teenager is currently earning little more than the equivalent of minimum wage but his performances for Town this term have demanded better terms – and, prior to his nagging and frustrating injury, attracted the interest of potential suitors.
McGregor already has one more year on his existing contract, while the Robins hold the option of adding another. The Moonraker understands the new offer would take that one-plus-one to two-plus-one.
