Joel McGregor has returned to training but the defender is unlikely to be fit enough to feature in Swindon Town's weekend clash with Barrow.

McGregor has not played for Town since the defeat at Bradford City on December 14, having sustained a groin injury.

However, he was due to be back on the grass with the rest of the first-team squad at Swindon's Beversbrook training ground in Calne on Friday (January 17).

McGregor's imminent return is one part of a three-pronged day of good news for Town manager Ian Holloway, on the injury front.
