Swindon Town think they have signed a star of the future after securing the signature of midfielder Dylan Mitchell.

Mitchell has left the Aston Villa pathway to move permanently to Wiltshire, where he has signed a two-year contract.

The 18-year-old has been with Town for around a week of pre-season, and featured in the 4-1 friendly victory over Swindon Supermarine.

He made the decision to move from Premier League Villa in search of senior football, and although he is unlikely to be a regular starter in Wiltshire there are high hopes for the player he can become.
