Swindon Town have confirmed Jake Tabor’s departure from the club, with the striker returning to non-league to prove his goalscoring ability.

Tabor spent a year with Town, having won over manager Ian Holloway during a trial last summer.

He signed a two-year contract, but never managed to break through at League Two level – having never previously played above step five.

He will now set his sights on rediscovering the scoring touch in National League South, following his move to Hemel Hempstead Town – interest first reported by The Moonraker earlier this week.
