Ian Holloway will not be in the dugout for Swindon Town’s crucial League Two final-day clash with Chesterfield, after the Robins boss received a two-match touchline ban.

Holloway has finally learned the outcome of his red card at Colchester United earlier this month, and the punishment will rule him out of Swindon’s next two competitive matches.

The 63-year-old was sent to the stands at Colchester following a verbal altercation with a supporter. He was responding to abuse received from the fan in question.

In a statement, the Football Association said Holloway’s conduct after being sent off played a contributory factor to the extent of the penalty.
