Ian Holloway receives legal support from LMA over referee treatment and will not be in the stands for Accrington visit

While he readily concedes he lets the “anger in me” get the better of him from time to time, Holloway is adamant he is being treated differently by match officials. And he has received support from the LMA to make formal representations to that extent.

Ian Holloway has engaged legal support from the League Managers’ Association to challenge his recent red card at Colchester United and what he feels is the general unfair treatment of him by match officials.

Holloway was sent from the bench by referee Paul Howard in the second half of the 3-0 defeat at Colchester last week.

The Moonraker understands he was dismissed following a verbal altercation with a supporter, who had been taking aim at the Swindon manager.

It was his second red card in a matter of weeks, having been sent to the stands for using foul and abusive language in the direction of an opposition player earlier in the campaign.
