Swindon Town manager Ian Holloway has finally recruited the senior goalkeeper he has been craving for weeks, with the signing of Connor Ripley from Port Vale.

Ripley, 31, arrives at the County Ground on a deal until the end of the season after his previous contract at Vale Park was terminated.

He is Swindon's third acquisition of the January window, following the arrivals of Tom Nichols and Joe Westley.

Holloway identified the lack of an experienced keeper as a major weakness in his squad early in his tenure.
