There remains room in the budget for further additions, with some wage commitments cleared by the departure of Ryan Delaney, and Finley Munroe’s return to Aston Villa and subsequent sale to Middlesbrough.

Swindon Town could yet move for two more recruits in the January transfer window.

The Robins were involved in a rush of early activity this month, with the loan arrivals of Michael Olakigbe and Aidan Borland quickly followed by the permanent signings of Ben Middlemas and Fletcher Holman.

There remains room in the budget for further additions, however, with some wage commitments cleared down by the departure of Ryan Delaney and Finley Munroe’s return to Aston Villa and subsequent sale to Middlesbrough.

Munroe’s position on the left-hand side is one area where Holloway is expected to look to make a move next week.
