Ian Holloway confirms Paul Glatzel is out for the season but better news for Danny Butterworth after hamstring surgery

The German will need at least four months to get back to full fitness, meaning his season is run. It is a desperate shame for Glatzel, who had been an important player to the Robins over the course of the first half of the season.

Paul Glatzel will miss the rest of the season after undergoing hamstring surgery, Ian Holloway has confirmed.

Glatzel suffered a rupture in the tendon during the victory at Cheltenham Town on December 29.

A visit to a specialist determined the extent of the problem, and prescribed an operation to aid with the recovery.

Glatzel went under the knife this week, and while the surgery was successful, the rehabilitation time is considerable.
