Miguel Freckleton will return to Sheffield United in January, Ian Holloway has confirmed.

The on-loan defender has endured a difficult first taste of life in the EFL.

Freckleton was a mainstay of the Swindon Town side under Mark Kennedy's brief tenure at the start of the season, but became the target of some supporters' anger following a series of individual errors.

The 20-year-old was visibly upset following the defeat at Port Vale in September, and has not featured for Town since coming off the bench in the 2-1 home FA Cup win over Colchester United at the start of November.
