Ian Holloway can start planning a long-term future for Swindon Town in earnest after finally signing a contract extension at the County Ground.

Holloway put pen to paper on a three-year deal early on Friday morning (March 28), following a long-protracted process.

The Town manager confirmed the news to Talksport on Friday within minutes of signing and before Swindon had the chance to put together a formal announcement.

He had agreed the terms of the arrangement with chairman Clem Morfuni several weeks ago, but the paperwork was not able to be processed until the past 48 hours.
