Ian Holloway was not begging, but there was a sense of urgency in his voice as he made a plea to Swindon Town supporters to rally behind their team in its darkest hour.

On Saturday (December 7), Fleetwood Town are due in Wiltshire to face the bottom club in the EFL. Winless in all competitions for a month, and without a League Two victory for 54 days, Swindon’s confidence is so low it is at this point pretty much underground.
