The scheduling of Swindon Town’s last-32 game at Wycombe Wanderers in the EFL Trophy could cause a considerable headache for the academy in their FA Youth Cup bid.

Town will make the trip to Buckinghamshire on Tuesday, December 10, two days prior to the date for the under-18s’ visit to Loftus Road for their third-round cup clash with QPR.

Manager Ian Holloway will likely want to use the match at Wycombe as an opportunity to blood several of the club’s next generation.

He did just that during the group-stage victory over Tottenham Under-21s, where he handed starts to Botan Ameen and Ant McCormick, as well as giving first-year scholar Owen Foye his debut off the bench.
