Harry Smith will return to competitive football with Swindon Town in 2026/27 after signing a new contract, but the striker may well not be fit for the start of the new season.

Smith has spent the past nine months recovering from a major knee ligament injury, and was at risk of being without a club this summer, but Town have shown faith in his ability to come back firing by agreeing at least 12 more months with the Robins.
