Harry Smith is closing in on a return to the Swindon Town first team and could feature in the weekend matchday squad for the visit of Doncaster Rovers.

Smith has been sidelined by a combination of suspension and illness since the trip to Barrow on September 7.

The striker served a three-match ban for violent conduct following his red card in that game, and then fell ill with a virus and tonsilitis within days of being eligible for selection once again.

Head coach Mark Kennedy has previously said Smith lost a stone of body weight over the course of his illness, but he has been back training at Beversbrook this week.
