Harrogate Town trip falls victim to frozen pitch to give Swindon Town useful rest after hectic festive fixture list

An inspection took place at the Yorkshire ground on Saturday (January 3), a little more than 24 hours ahead of the scheduled Sunday kickoff.

While the playing surface had been under frost covers, consistent sub-zero temperatures have left it unplayable.

And with further freezing conditions expected over the coming hours, chances of thaw before the game were highly unlikely.
