Swindon Town have agreed a deal for a backup goalkeeper to work alongside regular number one Connor Ripley over the coming campaign.

The Robins have been searching for a deputy to Ripley since Jack Bycroft indicated he wanted to look for regular football elsewhere.

Redman Evans, the second-year professional, is contracted for another season but Town are keen for him to get more senior football experience lower down the pyramid.

That left a requirement for a new stopper, and The Moonraker understands that deal is now all but done.
