Swindon Town have confirmed the permanent signing of Gavin Kilkenny from Bournemouth at the start of what is expected to be a very busy final 26 hours of the transfer window at the County Ground.
Kilkenny, a former Republic of Ireland age-group international, joins on a two-year contract in perhaps Swindon's most intriguing business of the window to date.
The 24-year-old, typically more of a sitting midfielder than an advanced eight, has previously shown plenty of promise at Championship level.
However, he has struggled to find room in the Bournemouth squad over the past two seasons, and has spent time out on loan - including a spell at Fleetwood Town last year.
