Fan protest leader calls for respectful demonstration, as concerns linger over supporter infighting

There is understood to be considerably more concern about this weekend’s protest than there was for the pre-match march and assembly in Statue Park on December 21.

Four wins in four and the most points of any club in England so far in 2025… but this weekend, there’ll be protest at Swindon Town.

A fan demonstration is scheduled to take place after the visit of Port Vale to the County Ground on Saturday (February 8).

It is once again organised by protest group The Spirit of 69 (SO69), who are calling for majority shareholder Clem Morfuni to publicly put the club up for sale, citing “incompetence” at the top of the leadership structure.

Swindon have enjoyed fine recent form to jump up the League Two table, and numbers for the post-match protest this weekend may well be down on the march prior to the visit of Grimsby Town on December 21. But SO69 co-founder Terry Pierce says the two would not necessarily be related.
