Jake Tabor was not allowed to return to Bath City because of an EFL clause lodged deep in the governing body’s regulations.
Swindon Town and Bath agreed a deal for the striker to return to the Romans for the remainder of the season, following a productive stint down the A4 last year.
The transfer was announced last week, and Tabor had been expected to be included in Bath’s squad for their National League South clash with Hemel Hempstead this weekend.
