Swindon Town have agreed a deal in principle with Ollie Palmer, and the striker’s transfer from Wrexham is set to be completed this week.

The Moonraker understands Palmer’s medical at Town was scheduled for Thursday (August 28).

Providing there are no issues, the forward should become a Swindon player in the next 24 to 48 hours.

Palmer, 33, is seen by Town as an ideal replacement for Harry Smith, who was ruled out for the season with an ACL rupture last week.
