Danny Butterworth will continue to get the chance to prove he is worth a new contract at Swindon Town during the Robins’ trip to Spain next week.
Butterworth took up Swindon’s offer to take part in pre-season training at Beversbrook, despite the club opting not to offer him fresh terms on his previous deal.
The midfielder is now officially out of contract, but he has impressed manager Ian Holloway with his attitude as he continues to recover from double hamstring surgery. And he will be part of the group that flies to Alicante on Monday (July 6).
