On the final day of the summer transfer window, Swindon Town have filled the goalkeeper-shaped hole in their squad.

Dan Barden, the Norwich City keeper, has joined Town on a season-long loan deal. He is eligible to feature against Notts County in League Two on Saturday (August 31).

Barden, 23, was initially on Arsenal's books before moving into Norwich's academy in 2019.

He made his senior debut for the Canaries in 2020/21 and is highly regarded at Carrow Road: he was recently rewarded with a new contract until the summer of 2026.
