There are fears that Ollie Clarke’s calf problems may keep him out of the League Two playoffs, should Swindon Town finish in the top seven.

Clarke sat out the defeat at Grimsby Town with the injury, and has not been involved in training this week as his teammates gear up for the must-win clash with Chesterfield on Saturday (May 2).

There was initially some hope within the camp that he may even have made a return for the visit of the Spireites, however The Moonraker understands the issue has proven to be worse than originally thought.

Clarke will not make the game this weekend, and should Town secure the three points they need to book a playoff spot, he is also highly unlikely to be available for the semi-finals.
