Swindon Town will return to training at Beversbook next week, after three weeks away from the Calne facility.
A survey of the site last month indicated that the pitches’ firmness were playing a part in the injury situation the Robins faced in pre-season.
That led to a period of Ian Holloway leading preparation at the County Ground, but staying in SN1 for the long-term was not sustainable, should Swindon want to maintain the quality of their matchday playing surface through the winter.
Town have a multi-year contract to be lodgers at Beversbook, which is owned by Calne Town Council, and any exit from that agreement would likely be a drawn-out process.
