A teenager has been arrested and bailed after a visiting Walsall supporter was hospitalised following an incident at the County Ground on Monday (April 6).
A 71-year-old man from the Birmingham area was left with a black eye and substantial bruising to his neck and face following the alleged assault outside the away stand in the aftermath of Swindon Town’s 2-1 home win.
Pictures on social media depicted the extent of the injuries sustained by Trevor Little, who required medical treatment. He has subsequently been discharged.
An 18-year-old was arrested by police in connection with the altercation. Eyewitnesses reported Mr Little had been left bloodied and face down on the ground.
