Aaron Drinan adds to Swindon Town's long list of injury woe, but issue unlikely to rule striker out for long

Head coach Mark Kennedy stressed that the striker has not torn a muscle, and as such his recovery time ought to be relatively quick, but the knock left Town with just one recognised first-team forward for the game at Whaddon Road.

Swindon Town’s forward department has been hit by yet another injury issue, after Aaron Drinan missed the trip to Cheltenham Town.

Drinan was absent after suffering an impact injury against Harrogate Town.

Head coach Mark Kennedy stressed that the striker has not torn a muscle, and as such his recovery time ought to be relatively quick, but the knock left Town with just one recognised first-team forward for the game at Whaddon Road.

“The good news is that because it’s an impact injury he’s not torn the muscle, he’s not got micro tears in it. It’s literally how much you can withstand the pain. Make no mistake, he’s in a lot of pain,” Kennedy said.
