A contract extension for Harry Smith is among the priorities for Swindon Town as they get to work on securing a squad capable of challenging for promotion in 2025/26.

Smith – Swindon’s leading goalscorer this season – has one year to run on his current contract at the County Ground, but conversations have begun internally about adding at least another 12 months.

The striker’s fine performances across the second half of the campaign saw him nominated by his peers as Players’ Player of the Year at Town’s end-of-season awards on Tuesday (April 29).
