Ian Holloway confirms appeal over "bamboozled" referee's red card during Swindon Town's win over Chesterfield

Swindon have until March 3 to respond to the charge. If upheld, Holloway faces a touchline ban. He is eligible to take his place on the Robins' bench until that process is concluded, however.

Ian Holloway has confirmed he will appeal his red card he received during Swindon Town's victory over Chesterfield, calling the decision "bamboozled".

Holloway was sent from the dugouts by referee Charles Breakspear with just 10 minutes gone in the clash at the County Ground last weekend.

Breakespear dismissed the Town manager for what he believed was personal abuse in his direction.
