The County Ground Joint Venture board will need to go to Swindon Borough Council for revised terms on stadium redevelopment after it was confirmed the next vote on proposals will likely not take place until spring 2026.

Blueprints for upgrades to the Don Rogers Stand did not receive the necessary level of support among Trust STFC members to pass when the matter was put to a ballot in April.

While a small majority were in favour of the plan, the club failed to achieve the 75 per cent approval it required to move to the next stage.
