Harrison Minturn will out of action for “weeks rather than months” after a scan found his groin injury was not as serious as first feared.

The Swindon Town centre-back complained of pain and being unable to run at speed last week, leading manager Ian Holloway to worry that his defender had suffered a ‘Gilmore’s groin’, a type of hernia that would have required surgery.

However, following a scan on Thursday, Minturn has received relatively good news.
