Swindon Town say overdue accounts are the reason for the club's parent company receiving a strike-off notice.

Axis Football Investments, the company which sits at the top of the Town ownership tree, received the notice from Companies House on July 9.

A first Gazette compulsory strike-off notice is often used to encourage businesses to file late paperwork. AFI's accounts are six-and-a-half months late, having been due in December last year.
