Swindon Town have been forced into a fresh transfer search after George Cox was ruled out of action for up to two months with a foot injury.
Cox sustained a fracture of the medial cuneiform during the defeat at Notts County on January 4, and will need a prolonged spell on the sidelines. Swindon's medical team have put the expected recovery time at between six and eight weeks.
Town have the option of moving Billy Kirkman back out wide but, with several other fitness issues in their defensive line, manager Ian Holloway has admitted that he will need to bring in cover.
