Is it too much to ask for a little aspiration?
With more than a quarter of the League Two season gone, Swindon Town are two places and three points above the relegation zone.
Over the course of 12 games, the Robins have played five of the bottom 12 and seven of the top nine, including each of the top four.
It has, by any objective measure, been a difficult start. And Kennedy emphasised that point during his post-match media round on Saturday.
