After nearly three years without a victory in a knockout tournament, Town have suddenly discovered a hot streak. Well, a warm-ish streak. The sort of streak us Brits might like to refer to as a “heatwave” to make us all feel better.

To secure progress in the EFL Trophy, Swindon must avoid defeat by Tottenham’s development squad. The inconsequential penalty shootout that follows draws in these group-stage matches is even less consequential. Superior goal difference over Tuesday night’s opponents means stalemate will seal safe passage.
