It’s nearly here. Just a single friendly stands in the way of Swindon Town and the 2024/25 League Two campaign.
So as we sit here a week out, how do we feel? Excited? Nervous? Anxious? Tired? A bit hot and bothered?
Compared to the equivalent point in recent calendar years, Town are not in an awful position from a playing perspective.
A core of experience has been brought in, and much of the transfer business has involved permanent signings. That is in strict contrast to 12 months ago, when the first permanent recruit – Liam Kinsella – did not arrive until the final week of July.
