Practically perfect Swindon Town give yet another reminder of what might have been with frolic on the Fylde coast

It was the Mary Poppins of League Two away days.

In the Fylde coast sunshine, with absolutely nothing to play for, Swindon Town were practically perfect in every way.

Shorn of eight first-team players, a long way from home, against in-form opposition who needed to win to keep their playoff hopes alive, Swindon had no right to produce this sort of performance.

But produce it they did, with a casual, carefree air that will have drawn feelings of both hope and frustration from the 500-odd Town supporters who made the long trip and were duly rewarded with a spoonful of sugar.
