10-man Swindon Town beat Wycombe Wanderers in the EFL Trophy
Matchday

Swindon Town find resolve, resilience and spirit in Wycombe win... so is the revival really on?

Hands up, then. Who had Swindon Town at 9/1?

Town’s extraordinarily long odds prior to their EFL Trophy trip to Wycombe Wanderers reflected the reality of this season, but from a historical perspective seemed utterly warped.

Warped they proved to be, as Swindon – with both 11 men and with 10 – delivered again. Two games in a row. Two wins in a row. A cup fixture to look forward to beyond New Year’s Eve. Oh, that’s what a smile feels like.
