There must have been a moment, sometime last spring, when Aaron Drinan would have feared what was to come next.

Having forced himself back into Ian Holloway’s plans at Swindon Town, the knee injury he sustained in early February was a cruel blow at the cruelest moment.

Drinan was due to be out of contract at the end of the campaign, and finding a new club fresh off the back of a significant ligament problem was never likely to be easy.
