Fletcher Holman may be mustard to Swindon Town supporters, but Ian Holloway will continue to use him sparingly – for all the right reasons.
Signed for nothing in January, Holman has become a critical part of the Swindon squad during the second half of the season, and on Monday made sure of his popularity with Robins fans with a late, late double-act to rescue three points against Walsall and reignite Town’s automatic promotion push.
Holman has five goals and four assists credited to him during his brief Town career.
That assist tally should really be six, given he won the decisive penalty at Harrogate Town in February and provided the fizzing cross that rebounded into the Newport County net off the shins of Joe Thomas.
