The County Ground exists as a time capsule of eras of Swindon Town’s past. Now it is in desperate need of modernising, if the club is to look to the future with any sense of optimism.

This Friday (September 6), senior figures at Town are expected to present their latest plans for the redevelopment of the ground, at a Joint Venture board meeting.

Within this presentation, Swindon are set to confirm the appointment of the architect who will be responsible for the designs of the first phase of the project, and outline the timeline ahead.
