Over the past two months, Swindon Town’s Matt Povey has had to prepare the County Ground pitch for five home league matches.
Four of those fixtures took place amid weather warnings for rain and wind in the south west, the fifth came at the end of a week of sub-zero temperatures and through freezing fog.
And yet, through it all, the playing surface has stood up to the challenge.
