Who needs experience anyway? Mark Kennedy faces selection dilemma when senior players return

On Saturday, Kennedy selected an XI with 519 league appearances at League Two or above (including George Cox’s 131 in the Eredivisie). Ollie Clarke, Grant Hall and Ryan Delaney have a combined 754. So, here’s the thing. Are we now saying experience isn’t quite as important?

Has Mark Kennedy stumbled onto a successful formula?

Grant Hall, Ollie Clarke and Ryan Delaney all missed the victory over Newport County last weekend with injuries which Kennedy subsequently proclaimed as being relatively minor.

As and when the trio are available for selection once again – which for one or more could be the visit of Carlisle United on Saturday - they may find their route to the first XI somewhat blocked.
