The cup run is over, but the point has been made once again: Swindon Town’s production line is in enviable shape.

At a time when it has been all too easy to find fault with process and product at the County Ground, it’s important to recognise what is going well. And the academy is going very well indeed.

Defeat at QPR on Thursday night will have stung, particularly given the strength of the performance and the belief that exists within this group of young players, but it is far from the end of the journey.
